Arm cast as fashion statement
I broke my right arm playing indoor hockey. It was a nasty foul by my opponent and I hit my elbow hard. I've now had to wear this plaster cast for a fortnight and it's totally restricting me.

I can't do anything properly with it on. Driving is taboo, tying my hair up with a rubber band is impossible, I can't use a knife or scissors with my left hand. And worst of all, I can't even wipe my bum. Showering is also rubbish because the plaster can't get wet. Brushing my teeth is still possible - with difficulty.

But today I got dressed up and tried on two white dresses. I'm surprised, they fit my arm cast perfectly. The white is pretty much the same and the plaster doesn't look like a foreign object, more like an accessory. Perhaps it's a sign of strength and courage, because I didn't let the accident get me down. So the plaster cast is not a flaw, but an accessory that reflects my personality!

There is another advantage: I don't need to wear a bra because I can't put it on by myself. It's not a restriction and I feel more comfortable. What's more, it doesn't show when I'm not wearing a bra. And the angled plaster arm supports my breasts. That's my little secret.
