Wrong treatment - six months suffering français  deutsch
In September 2016, I had a fall at subway station's stairs in Delhi, India. I landed on my right ankle. It was swollen and was paining a lot. After conducting an x-ray, the doctor told me that it is just a sprain and I was prescribed physiotherapy for two weeks. But the pain did not reduce. So when I went to the orthopaedist again after two weeks he made a new x-ray to be sure that it is not a fracture. He told me that there is a ligament tear which needs rest. And he prescribed physiotherapy again.

But I did not get any relief, so I changed the orthopedist. The second doctor told me as well that it is a ligament tear. It will only heal with a plaster cast. So in December 2016 my leg was plastered. Furthermore the doctor told me to use crutches for two weeks. When the cast was removed after four weeks I still had a lot of pain. The doctor decided to put a plaster cast on my leg again, now for four weeks. He told me that injury had been mistreated initially. Then it was slowly getting better. The injury finally healed in March 2017.
