A stretched casted arm français  deutsch
A fall on the tip of the elbow with a joint bent can cause an olecranon fracture. In this case, the upper end of the ulna (the olecranon), where the upper arm muscle triceps attaches, is separated from the rest of the bone. The olecranon forms a part of the elbow joint together with the articular roll of the upper arm (trochlea humeri).

Most often, the olecranon fracture is surgically treated. Only rarely, in the case of a non-displaced fracture, it can be treated conservatively. A cast is applied to the entire arm, in which the elbow joint can be almost extended or bent up to 80°.
