I thank every day that I am alive, that I lack nothing and that I am able to cope with my everyday life. That sounds dramatic. But since I have broken the lateral ankle and my leg is splinted with a thick bandage, it has made me think more about my life.
We are fragile and dependent on other people. There are many problems. I never thought that walking on crutches could be so painful. That it's impossible to cook lunches, put on trousers, move and do everyday things. In the supermarket I made experiences with the alternative to crutches. Because there are wheelchairs for people who need them. A wheelchair is not better. The arms tire quickly, it is another burden. And everybody looks at you!A leg in a cast makes many things complicated and difficult. It is a time of learning. Appreciate your health. |
