The drummer, who formed with Jack White the band "White Stripes", has broken her arm in the beginning of 2003. It forced them to postpone a number of promotional appearances in the run-up to the release of their new album. However, the planned concerts in spring took place.

Meg slipped on ice in New York, falling heavily and fracturing her left arm in two places. "I was coming out of a club when it happened" told the musician. "I had a pair of boots on but the heel was only an inch high. They didn't have enough traction." The band's management was quick to deny rumours that the break happened during a drunken bar crawl.
