The Danish House singer Medina was a part of the Open Air Festival "Grøn Concert" in July 2011. The festival consists of eight concerts which were held within two weeks from Thursday to Sunday in several Danish cities. At the third-last concert in Odense she fell onstage at the end of her performance and hurt her arm. Then she could not give encore on the stage. Shortly thereafter, the 28-year-old wrote on Facebook: "I've broken a piece of my elbow and I'm sitting in the emergency room, and now I have a shitty cast on." The singer did not disappoint her fans and made the last two concerts in Næstved and Copenhagen on the following days with an arm cast.

Medina rose to national fame in 2008 with the release of "Kun for mig" (Danish for "Only for me"), the lead single of her second album. Later she had international success with the English version of that song titled "You and I". In 2009 she has been honoured with the MTV Europe Music Award.
