Katie Douglas deutsch
Kathryn Elizabeth "Katie" Douglas is a professional basketball player in USA's Woman's National Basketball Association (WNBA). In 2012 she played for Indiana Fever in Indianapolis.

Five minutes into the deciding game of the semifinals of the WNBA championships on October 11, she injured her left ankle. She came down awkwardly after a jump. Immediately the 33-year-old player grabbed her ankle in pain and put no pressure on the foot while being helped off the court. She was taken to a local emergency room for X-rays where a sprain was diagnosed. "When Katie went down, you could just see the fire in everybody's eyes," said her team coach. In the end, they won the game 87:71.

The injury was so bad that Katie Douglas was sidelined for the following playoff games of the championship finals from October 14 to 21. She was on the bench but not in uniform, sporting a pump on her right foot and a protective boot on her left. Finally, her team won three of four playoff games. So Katie Douglas won her first WNBA Championship. It was her fourth career WNBA Finals appearance.
