Gracie has broken her left radius at basketball practice. She broke it already the year before in August just before school started - the same arm but a different bone. The folks at the ER said that one more time and we win a set of steak knives!

Seven weeks later she got her cast off - but only for about 15 minutes, because it was still broken. They replaced her old cast with a thinner, shorter one that was waterproof. The doctor said it was okay to start dancing again and she could even swim and take a bath with it.

Another four weeks later she did not need the cast anymore but she had to wear a brace for the following four weeks.
